Founded in 2002, our commercial carpentry firm was born out of determination, grit, and a belief that hard work should build more than just structures — it should build a legacy. After years as a carpenter foreman, Bryan Nau decided he would no longer pour his energy into someone else’s vision. With wife Erin’s steady support — balancing a corporate career at Motorola, helping run the business at night and both of them raising their young son— the company took root in St. Charles, Illinois. What began with a single carpenter and one supportive general contractor quickly grew into a trusted, multimillion-dollar construction firm.
From the beginning, craftsmanship has been the foundation. Bryan’s early years, under a tough mentor, instilled an unwavering commitment to quality. At KANE Construction, that same dedication continues today: clear expectations, precise communication, exacting standards, and work that speaks for itself. Clients know that when they hire KANE, they’re working directly with a lean, hands-on team that runs efficiently while never compromising on results.
Over two decades later, KANE Construction Group has tackled projects ranging from small interior buildouts to hundreds of thousands of square feet in commercial spaces. The company’s story also comes full circle with the next generation. Their son Jacob, who grew up sweeping job sites and learning the ropes, officially joined the business full-time in 2022. Bringing a background in finance, real estate, and technology, Jacob bridges old-school craftsmanship with new-school innovation. From scheduling crews to modernizing bidding with software, he carries forward the KANE legacy while shaping its future.
